Each specimen in the collection was individually labelled with precise details of the location of its collection. Anyone interested in such fine detail should contact the Kelvingrove Museum, Glasgow, Scotland.

In addition, Tim kept his own personal notes of specimens collected, using a system of numbering for different species. In some cases, a species may have more than one number - he may have suspected them to be different species prior to more detailed examination.

Copies of these hand-written personal notes can be accessed from the pages dedicated to each individual case on this website. A page of explanations has also been included on the website to help readers to interpret the collector's notes.
